Insights from Diligent Open Days

Diligent Doors are always open!

During 2022 we were more than happy to welcome students, teachers, programmers, marketers, and managers to our office. It was a pleasure to meet them all and present our domain, experiences, and projects. We provided insights into the culture and values of our company. That was a great opportunity to introduce our mission statement and goals.

In May 2022, we were delighted to welcome students from the Faculty of Electronic Engineering to our new office. They met our HR team as well as our developers and team leaders.

In cooperation with the student organization BEST, we were visited by students in the final year of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering in Niš. Our idea was to allow them to practically apply the knowledge they acquired during their studies. We highly value young, promising people willing to learn and progress. During the visit, students worked on real projects and solved case studies under the mentorship of our colleagues. The best of them became part of our team through a three-month internship. It was a pleasure to work with inspiring young people who can share a lot of knowledge. Encouraging work, applying knowledge, and creating a space that makes it possible has always been our motto.

The second visit we had was a little younger visit because high school students came to our office. Curiosity, easy absorption of information, is something that adorns schoolchildren, so we were especially glad to answer their questions, present our culture and projects, and discuss their future direction.

In October, we reserved an open day for all those who wanted to hear more about what we do and how we do business in Diligent. All our guests could socialize and get to know each other with networking, drinks and snacks, a Diligent quiz, a crossword puzzle, and great prizes.

The last open day of the past year was not in our offices, but it was a great opportunity for the students of the Faculty of Electronics to learn how to start their careers during the lectures of our colleague Stefan Djordjevic. The theme of the event was "Development path - from student to developer", and students could hear what the development path looks like from student days to the first job, what opportunities and challenges you encounter along the way, what is an internship at Diligent like and how can you become part of the #diligentminds team.
